DAY 1 : Cairo
Upon arrival at the Cairo International Airport, you will be greeted by one of our representatives who will assist you with the immigration and customs formalities.You will then be transferred to the hotel in Cairo for check-in. Spend the day at leisure in this lively, vibrant, fascinating and welcoming city of Cairo.In the evening, you may opt for a sound and light show at the Egyptian Pyramids at an additional cost and take a peek into the enchanting history of Egypt. Spend the overnight at the hotel in Cairo.
DAY 2 : Cairo - Aswan Enjoy a sumptuous buffet breakfast and check-out of the hotel. On the way, you will visit one of the Seven Wonders-of-the World - the Great Pyramid of Giza. The Great Pyramids, the Great Sphinx (a legendary creature, half lion and half human) and an ancient industrial complex stand tall on the Giza Necropolis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Next on the agenda, is the must-visit Museum of Egyptian Antiquities, commonly known as the Egyptian Museum- a treasure trove of Pharaonic antiquities. The museum displays more than 1, 60,000 objects dating back to the Pharaonic era spread over 107 halls. Thereafter, browse through the shops at the Khan el-Khalili souk (market) before heading to the Giza station for your overnight sleeper train to Aswan. Enjoy a local dinner and a relaxed overnight aboard the train to Aswan.
DAY 3 : Aswan - Nile Cruise Upon arrival at Aswan station meet our representative. Head to the cruise terminal and board your Nile cruise. After the check-in head to visit the popular Philae temple, High Dam (Aswan Dam) and the unfinished Obelisk. Return back to the cruise and set sail on the majestic Nile River. Lunch will be served on board. Enjoy this one-of-a-kind dinner with a majestic cruise experience. Spend the overnight on this lovely Nile cruise.
DAY 4 : Nile Cruise Enjoy your breakfast and continue your cruise on Nile River, the longest river in the world. Disembark to take a tour of the popular temple of Kom Ombo. Return back to the cruise to enjoy a lovely lunch and set sail for your onward destination. Anchor at Edfu and proceed to visit the magnificent Edfu temple. The Temple of Edfu is one of the best-preserved cult temples in Edfu. The city of Edfu was the most flourishing city in the ancient times. You will be able to witness the Birth House, Pylon, Court of Offerings, statues of Horus made of granite and much more in the Temple of Edfu. Step aboard on the cruise and enjoy dinner and an overnight on the Nile cruise.
DAY 5 : Nile Cruise After a delicious breakfast get ready to visit the Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut temple and Colossi of Memnon. The Valley of Kings is a valley where tombs were built for the Pharaohs and noblemen of the kingdom. The valley stands on the west bank of river Nile. The stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III that stand tall are known as the Colossi of Memnon. The statues are around 60 feet tall and will leave you mesmerized. Enjoy a delicious lunch on board the cruise. After visiting these three places, you will proceed to visit Karnak temple and Luxor temple. After the eventful day, return back to the cruise for a delicious dinner and a comfortable overnight stay.
DAY 6: Nile Cruise - Cairo Enjoy a scrumptious buffet breakfast on the cruise and check-out. Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy. You can leave your luggage on the cruise and explore the city of Luxor on your own. An excursion to Hurghada is highly recommended. This optional activity will take you to the Red Sea coast and will give you the chance to explore an unseen side of Egypt, a seaside town with clear blue water. In the evening head to Luxor station to board an overnight train to Cairo. Enjoy a local dinner and an overnight on board in the sleeper train to Cairo.
DAY 7 : Cairo Upon arrival at Cairo station, our representative will meet you and escort you to the hotel. In the afternoon, a tour of the Old Cairo awaits you. Get set to see the The Hanging Church which is Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church. Proceed further to visit Ben Ezra Synagogue which dates back to the 9th century. Head back to the hotel in the evening and spend the overnight in Cairo.
DAY 8 : Cairo Departure After breakfast check-out from the hotel. Rest of the day will be at leisure. Get ready for your final departure and get transferred to the Cairo International Airport. Leave Cairo with unforgettable memories of the Egyptian history, experience of sailing on river Nile and the stunning views of ancient tombs that you can never witness anywhere else in the world.
