3 NIGHTS / 4 DAYS: 01 night Kandy / 01 night Nuwara Eliya / 01 night Colombo

Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival Colombo – Kandy
Arrival at Colombo International Airport where you will be met & welcome by our representative or Tour Guide and transfer to Kandy.
Afternoon proceed on city tour of Kandy. Kandy was the last capital of the Sri Lankan kings and is a World Heritage Site. The name "Kandy" conjures visions of splendor and magnificence.  Many of the legends, traditions and folklore are still lovingly kept   alive.  Drive around the Kandy Lake built by the last Sinhala king, Sri Wickrama Rajasinghe in 1798.  Visit the Kandy town and bazaar, the arts and crafts centre, a gem museum and a lapidary. 
Thereafter visit   The   Royal Botanical   Garden in Peradeniya. The botanical garden was first built as a Pleasure garden by a Sinhala king and was expanded by the British. It is 147 acres in extent and provides an amazing variety of trees, plants and flowers. 
Evening    visit   the   Temple   of   the Tooth Relic in Kandy. Thereafter   proceed to an auditorium   to witness a cultural show

DAY 2 : Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast proceed to Nuwara Eliya. En route visit Elephant Orphanage in Pinnawala, established in 1975, commenced with seven orphans.  Today some of these orphans enjoy the fortune of seeing their Grand children born in the same location. The original objective of establishing the orphanage inclined more towards tourism, but is soon became a conservation and educational centre. With the help of local and foreign elephant experts, Pinnawela started a scientific captive-breeding program for elephants.
The free movement of the herd enhanced the chances for respective individuals of both sexes to get together and mate. The nearby river played a dominant role in this regard, and in 1984, the first baby of Pinnawala was born. The success story of Pinnawela has drawn the attention of scientists from all over the world. A considerable number of books and research   articles on   Pinnawela have been published in several languages. The members of the Pinnawela herd have been filmed, videoed and photographed thousands of times by professionals.
Proceed to Nuwara Eliya- an hill station perched at 6128 feet filled with tea garden and very temperate and salubrious climate. Overnight stay at the hotel in Nuwara Eliya

DAY 3 : Nuwara Eliya - Colombo
After breakfast visit Nuwara Eliya.  Nuwara Eliya, because of its invigorating mountain climate and scenery, is Sri Lankas most popular hill resort.  Nuwara Eliya is also the heart of Sri Lankas tea country producing a significant share of the world s best tea.  Sri Lanka s highest mountain Pidurutalagala (8282 feet) is located here. Nuwara Eliya also has one of the finest 18 hole    golf courses in South Asia.
On completion, transfer to Colombo. Arrive Colombo and check in at the hotel. Overnight at hotel. 

Day 4 : Colombo Departure
After breakfast at hotel, check-out and proceed for half day orientation of Colombo city. Drive through the commercial area of Fort, so named because both the Portuguese and Dutch had a fort at this point. Drive past Pettah, a noisy Oriental bazaar with a mix of humanity, ancient vehicles, bargains, mosques and temples. You will visit a Hindu and Buddhist Temple and the Jumi Ul Alfar Jumma Mosque. You will continue with the tour through the Wolfendhal Dutch Church, Hulftsdorp Law Courts, through the residential area of Cinnamon Gardens, and on to the Independence Square, Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall.  Later transfer to Colombo international airport to connect flight back home!!
